

INVESTMENT PROCESS:
The decision-making process combines speed and flexibility and is, thus, built around the following phases:
1- RECEPTION OF THE PROMOTER AND HIS PROJECT:
The promoter seeking an equity financial partner starts by submitting his project to UNIVERS INVEST SICAR. The submitted documents , outlining the whole project, consist of a business plan permitting to evaluate its quality.
2- INVESTIGATION OF THE PROJECT:
Depending on the state of maturity of the project, this investigation can last from several weeks to 3 months. It consists in validating the assumptions of the business plan and assessing the economic and financial situation of the company or the project. This feasibility study depends on the nature of the project: creation or extension.
3-PRESENTATION TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND DECISION:
The Council consists of representatives of the companies participating in the capital of UNIVERS INVEST SICAR. They give technical and financial opinion as to the opportunity of making the investment.
4-PAYMENT OF FUNDS:
LEGAL FRAMEWORK
1- The legal audit of the incorporating document of the new shareholder;
2- The supervision and control of acts deciding the increase of the capital and those reporting its achievement;
3- The development of a shareholders’ agreement specifying the conditions for the participation of UNIVERS INVEST SICAR and those of its exit.
MONITORING INVESTMENTS
UNIVERS INVEST SICAR has opted for a monitoring of its interests based on regular contact and exchange of information.
This monitoring aims at maintaining a very close relationship and a good dialogue with the manager, and achieving a genuine, strategic and financial partnership.
The monitoring process includes the following components:
1- Participation in decision-making bodies (Board of Directors and General Meetings);
2- Establishment of a monitoring records containing the financial statements and the periodic reports of the monitoring or visits;
3- Financial statements and analysis;
4- Regular updating of the tracking sheet;
5- Periodic visits and reports.
